This is one of my few truly treasured possesions- an 18th century Russian bowl, which came to be mine through a series of coincidences (nothing illegal, I assure you!). I love the simple monumentality of it, perhaps it was a ceremonial bowl because it seems to transcend the utilitarian. I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do.
