"All that remains..."

This is my second daily painting, and my second daily blog. The painting is called "All that remains...". I am not sure what animal the skull is from- a friend of mine found it and gave it to me because she knew I would like it. I hope a skull doesn't seem too macabre for a still life, because I find it beautiful. As I completed my second daily painting, I realized what an intense and interesting way to work it is. In the past, I have always put my brushes down at the end of the day with every intention of revisiting the work the next day, and the next day, until the painting was done. But with the daily painting I am endeavoring to get a painting ready to be viewed by the world in a single day, and putting it out there for feedback. It is an entirely new approach for me, and very exhilarating. "All that remains..." measures 5 X 10 X 1/2 inch, and is available for sale on ebay. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
